Casino bankroll management is the set of rules that decides how much you stake, when you stop, and what you do when a session goes badly. A budget is only a number; a bankroll plan is that number plus the rules that protect it. The seven rules below come partly from simple arithmetic and partly from PAGCOR’s responsible-gaming reminders, the first of which is that betting should never be treated as income. Other money and rules articles are on the blog index for JILIPG.
Casino Bankroll Management in Seven Rules
A bankroll is the money set aside for play and nothing else. Applied to a month of sessions, the seven rules are:
- Keep it separate. PAGCOR warns against staking everything you have, and against borrowing to play.
- Size stakes in units. A ₱2,000 bankroll in units of 1/100 gives ₱20 a unit.
- Set a loss limit per session, counted in units.
- Set a time limit. A session clock is one of PAGCOR’s own reminders.
- Never borrow. Money owed is not bankroll.
- Do not chase. Repeated tries to win back a loss are among the warning signs PAGCOR lists.
- Take a longer break through PAGCOR self-exclusion when the first six stop working.
Volatility changes the unit you need, as slot volatility explained with labels shows: a higher label calls for a smaller unit.
Loss limit: the peso figure that closes the session
A loss limit is the amount of the bankroll you accept losing in one session, set before it starts. Applied to a ₱2,000 monthly bankroll with ₱20 units:
| Loss limit | In pesos | Sessions the bankroll covers at the limit |
|---|---|---|
| 10 units | ₱200 | 10 |
| 20 units | ₱400 | 5 |
| 50 units | ₱1,000 | 2 |
The smaller the limit, the more bad sessions the month survives. Pick the row first, then the game, and write the row down.
JILIPG Bankroll Habits Around the Account
A JILIPG bankroll plan has to fit the lobby’s own money rules, which its help centre spells out:
| Lobby rule | Bankroll habit it calls for |
|---|---|
| No withdrawal request until the turnover target is met | Count promo money as locked, not as bankroll |
| Bonus money stays locked while the bonus runs | Leave it out of the loss limit sum |
| Every payout asks for the separate fund password | Withdraw winnings above the plan instead of replaying them |
| The bound bank details are permanent | Bind the account in your own name once, correctly |
Problem: a win doubles a ₱2,000 balance to ₱4,000 halfway through a session. Fix: withdraw whatever sits above your starting bankroll, then keep playing at the same unit size, never a bigger one.
Problem: a session ends at the loss limit and a reload promotion appears. Fix: the limit still stands; a promotion’s turnover adds staking, which is the opposite of stopping.
The words in those rules are defined in the casino terms glossary for JILIPG, and the age and licence basics in the legal age for online betting. After logging in to the JILIPG lobby, check the withdrawal screen once so you know the steps before you need them.
When limits stop holding, PAGCOR’s NPGH line, (02) 8248-9568, takes calls free at any hour, and JILIPG responsible gaming and self-exclusion lists the other help lines and PAGCOR’s exclusion periods.
How to Get Started
-
Write the bankroll down
With the lobby still closed, note the month's affordable loss in pesos, money that never touches bills, and treat it as already spent.
-
Fix the unit and the stop
Divide that amount into units and set a session loss limit in units, such as 20, so every session ends at a known point.
-
Review after each session
Note the result, the time played and whether you kept both limits; two broken limits in a row is the signal to take a longer break.
